Stoffels Tomaten is a Belgian grower of tasty, sustainably grown tomatoes who has been active in the sector for almost 30 years. Stoffels Tomaten is known for its innovation, commitment to sustainable horticulture and producing top quality. For their tomato sauce, they work with the idea from grandmother's time in which, at the end of a warm summer, overproduction of tomatoes is processed into juice and sauce to get through the winter. In periods of overproduction, Stoffels makes a delicious sauce with tomatoes that are at their peak of flavor. Tomatoes with a less than perfect appearance are also added to the pot.
The sauce is made by boiling the tomatoes in a completely natural way, coarsely filtering them and very lightly pasteurizing them. This ensures that not only the taste but also the velvety texture of the tomatoes is perfectly preserved. The resulting tomato sauce is then finished, strictly controlled and filled warmly in a very nice jar. The result is truly a sauce to love. Toma'Amoris is a tasty, pure sauce, lightly seasoned, so it can be used for a wide variety of dishes. An ideal basis for pasta, sauces and soups, but a master chef would also like to work with it.
Toma’AmorisToma'Amoris is derived from the word poma amoris, 'the love apple' as a tomato used to be called. |

Stoffels tomatoes is always looking for circular flows that fit into their sustainability story. They also investigate the possibilities in the cultivation of tomatoes to produce as little waste as possible and, where possible, to convert waste flows into raw materials. For example, cultivation is done on a substrate of coconut, a waste product from coconut cultivation. This organic soil is home to good fungi and bacteria that ensure a natural balance, making fungicide intervention unnecessary. This terroir also determines the taste of the tomatoes.
In the meantime, plant remains are also processed into packaging and the production of a high-quality tomato sauce fits completely into this company philosophy.
Not every fruit passes the strict quality controls of the tomatoes sold as fresh products. If only the color, shape or firmness is different, these can be processed into a derived product.
