Tomato burger with Toma’chef tomatoes

Ingredients for 4 people

  • 4 chunky Toma'chef tomatoes
  • Canned chickpeas (400 grams)
  • 25 grams of oatmeal
  • 1 red onion1 clove of garlic
  • Pepper and salt
  • 1 tsp curry powder
  • 1 tablespoon of sesame paste
  • 1 tsp paprika powder
  • Lemon

Preparation

  • Rinse the chickpeas and blend coarsely in a food processor.
  • Chop the onion and finely chop the garlic.
  • Mix the oatmeal, onion, garlic, sesame paste, spices and half the lemon juice into the chickpea mixture.
  • Make nice burgers out of the mixture.
  • Put the burgers in the fridge for 15 minutes, this way they will firm up a bit.
  • Fry the burgers in a pan for about 10 minutes until golden brown.
  • Cut the tomatoes in half and place the burgers on top.
  • TIP: finish off with toppings of your choice (rocket, cheese, sauce,...)
